This position will be responsible for planning and implementation of plans to prepare for sea level rise and reduce associated flood hazards.The responsibilities for this role are wide-ranging from analyzing infrastructure vulnerability to public outreach.A Bachelor's Degree in Urban or Regional Planning, Public Administration, Social Science, Civil Engineering, Architecture, Economics, Geography or a related field; AND One year of progressively responsible planning experience related to the job. *Involve the public, decision makers, technical experts, and reviewers in the planning process.OR Four years of progressively responsible planning experience related to the job1 - Natural Hazard Mitigation Planning Assist local governments in updating natural hazard mitigation plans, and integrating them into comprehensive plans, zoning maps, and development regulations. *Ensure that the planning process and plan document comply with FEMA requirements.

Bachelor's degree and two years of professional experience in climate adaptation, urban planning, environmental science, engineering, floodplain management, sustainability, or a related field are required.
